Awadio provides effective control against various fungal diseases, including powdery mildew, rust, leaf spot, and blight, among others. It contains propiconazole 25% EC. It targets both preventive and curative control, helping to manage and suppress the growth and spread of fungal pathogens.
Mode of Action: Awadio contains Propiconazole, a triazole fungicide, acts by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a crucial component of fungal cell membranes. It blocks the activity of the enzyme Lanosterol 14α-demethylase, which is responsible for converting lanosterol into ergosterol. This disruption of ergosterol synthesis leads to the accumulation of toxic sterols in the fungal cell membrane, causing membrane dysfunction, leakage of cellular contents, and ultimately the death of the fungus.
