It has a broad spectrum of action, being both protective and curative. Hexaconazole is a systemic conazole (imidazole) fungicide that is used to control a variety of seed-borne and soil-borne diseases and fungi, primarily Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes. Hexaconazole is an effective inhibitor of Ergosterol biosynthesis. It is frequently used to control apple, coffee, and peanut diseases. It is known to interfere with membrane function. It is recommended to cover the sheath blight, powdery mildew and Rust disease in Rice, Groundnut, Apple and Mango.
